The heritage of ADIDAS BOSTON

Adidas Boston 10 was introduced with higher stack and that had really disappointed many Adidas Boston fans. Here is the brief history of Adidas Boston Range and how it all started.

Adidas Boston was debuted in 1982. It was advertised the most comfortable running shoes. It had sudden love amongst long distance running community.

In 1984, Adidas has made some premium upgrade and introduced Adidas Boston Super to pay homepage to Boston Marathon (88th edition of the race). The shoe has a grippy rubber outsole with a mesh upper and suede overlays.

2007, Adidas introduced another upgrade version of Boston Super FTR.

Not until 2010, Adidas running family has reunited with Boston Name and it finally had become the Adizero Range.

adiPRENE+ was only equipped to 2012 version of Adizero Boston 3 and continental outsole was embedded with the range. Torsion System was built in Boston 4 onwards.

Adizero Boston range has always been a low stack light running shoes. Boston loyal fans are keen to this feature.

In 2021, Adidas has significantly increased tech aspects of the shoe, Energy Rod has replaced torsion system, Boost has been replaced with Lightstrike Pro, a light, full of energy return and soft foam. Loyal fans were not keen to this change but this certainly has brought more runners to try them on. From our personal experience, it is great for tempo, internal running training. It is also good for just walking. It is a very diversified shoe.

Adidas also hosts a Adidas Boost Boston Games since 2916. It is an annual track and field meeting and street meet in Boston.

Feeling to be part of Adidas running family, here is the full list of adidas premium running shoe range.
